ADAS Recalibration.
Your Safety Systems Depend on It.

If your vehicle has lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, or adaptive cruise control, windshield replacement requires recalibration. We restore factory accuracy.

Availability note: ADAS recalibration availability varies by vehicle make, model, and calibration type required. Contact us before scheduling so we can confirm we have the right equipment for your specific vehicle.

What Is ADAS

Advanced Driver
Assistance Systems.

ADAS is the umbrella term for the camera and sensor-based safety features that have become standard on most vehicles made in the last decade. These systems use cameras mounted to your windshield to monitor the road, other vehicles, pedestrians, and lane markings in real time.

Because the camera is physically bonded to the glass, replacing the windshield changes the camera's position and the optical properties it was calibrated around. Recalibration restores the system to factory accuracy.

Lane Departure Warning

Camera monitors lane markings. Alerts you when drifting across a lane without a turn signal. One of the most critical camera-dependent systems recalibration restores.

Automatic Emergency Braking

Detects vehicles or pedestrians ahead and applies brakes if collision is imminent.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front without manual input.

Forward Collision Alert

Warns driver of an impending collision with a vehicle ahead.

Traffic Sign Recognition

Camera reads speed limit signs and road markings.

Why It Matters

Why Skipping Recalibration
Is Not an Option.

1

Windshields are calibrated, not just installed.

Modern windshields with ADAS cameras have a specific mounting position, glass thickness, and optical clarity that the camera system was configured around at the factory. Change the glass, and the geometry shifts.

2

A 1-degree error equals several feet of road at highway speed.

ADAS calibration tolerances are measured in millimeters. Even a small deviation in camera angle changes where the system "thinks" lane lines are, or how far ahead it detects objects. At 70 mph, that error expands fast.

3

Insurance claims can be voided without recalibration records.

If you're in a collision and your insurer finds that ADAS systems were not recalibrated after a windshield replacement, they may dispute the claim. Recalibration documentation is your paper trail.
